1. Introduction

This policy explains how Souqi (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data on souqi.ps, the merchant dashboard, and the storefronts hosted on our platform. It applies to merchants and their team members, and to shoppers who browse stores and place orders.

2. Data we collect

Merchant accounts: your name, email address, and phone number, plus the details of your store — its name, delivery settings, products, team, and orders.

Shoppers: when you place an order we collect the details needed to fulfill it — your name, phone number, delivery address, chosen products, and any notes. If you create an account, we also store your email address.

Automatically: like most websites we record technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. Storefront page views are counted to show merchants aggregate statistics about their own store's traffic.

3. Cookies

Souqi sets only the cookies needed to run the service: your session, security (CSRF) protection, language preference, and shopping cart. We do not set advertising cookies ourselves. A merchant may enable advertising pixels (such as Meta or TikTok) on their own storefront, in which case those third parties may set cookies subject to their own policies — the storefront's advertising practices are the merchant's responsibility.

4. How we use data

We use personal data to provide the service: operating stores, delivering orders to merchants, sending order and account notifications, providing support, securing the platform against fraud and abuse, and producing aggregate (non-identifying) statistics. We do not sell personal data.

5. How data is shared

Order details are shared with the merchant you ordered from — the merchant is responsible for handling its customers' data lawfully. We use service providers to run the platform, such as cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services) and email delivery; they process data only on our instructions. We may disclose data where the law requires it or to protect the safety of the service and its users.

6. Data retention

We keep account and store data while the account is active. Order records are kept as long as the related store needs them for its business and legal obligations. When an account or store is deleted, we delete or anonymize its personal data within a reasonable period, except what we must keep by law.

7. Security

We protect data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access inside stores, and infrastructure access limited to what operating the service requires. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password safe and unique.

8. Your rights

You can access and correct your account information from your dashboard at any time. You can ask us to export or delete your personal data by contacting support@souqi.ps. Shoppers can also ask the merchant they ordered from to correct or delete their order information.

9. Children

Souqi is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice on the platform or by email.
